INDIANAPOLIS — The NCAA Division III Men’s Ice Hockey Committee announced today the field of 13 teams for the 2024 NCAA Division III Men’s Ice Hockey Championship.
Nine conferences have been awarded an automatic qualification. The remaining four teams were selected at-large by the committee.
The championship playoff format involves five first-round games, March 9 and four quarterfinal games, March 16 that are played on the campuses of the participating institutions. All games in the championship are single elimination. The four quarterfinal winners will advance to Hartford, Connecticut for the semifinal and championship games, which will be conducted March 21 -23 at the Koeppel Community Sports Center.

| Northern Collegiate Hockey Association | St. Norbert (22-6-0) |
| State University of New York Athletic Conference | Cortland (18-8-2) |
| United Collegiate Hockey Conference | Utica (23-2-3) |
| Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference | Wis.-Stevens Point (21-5-1) |
Adrian (22-6-1), Curry (20-5-1), Elmira (19-7-1) and SUNY Geneseo (21-5-0) enter the field as the four at-large selections.
The semifinal and championship games will be web streamed live on NCAA.com.
In 2023, Hobart claimed its first title with a 3-2 win in OT over Adrian at the Raymond J. Bourque Arena in Beverly, Massachusetts.
